B&B Tunes New Gold R, Gets Power Boost

German tuner, B7B has appeared with its latest tuning project. This time he has tuned the new Golf R 270HP all-wheel drive. B&B has launched performance package and chassis upgrade for the car.

The Engine upgradation comes in three stages, first pushing the 270HP to 310HP, second to 324HP and the third to 362HP.
The performance kit includes a new large turbocharger, sports exhaust system, reprogrammed ECU and new air intake system with new intercooler.

Now the car sprints from 0-100km/h in just 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 280km/h. B&B has also introduced new high performance 8-caliper braking system, adjustable suspension and new set of 18-inch and 19-inch black alloy wheels.

VW Eos White Night Come to Australia

Volkswagen today announced the availability of its most popular car, the VW Eos White Night in Australia. The EOS will be sold in Australia with two engine option, the 103 TDI and 147 TSI.

The EOS White Nights has got superb Black and White exterior styling. The car body is painted in white while the roof, radiator grille, 18-inch alloys and mirror cover got black finish.

The company has given the same black and white finish inside the car. The Nappa leather seats, door and side trim, steering wheels comes in black finish while the trim strips and radio trim is done in white candy.

Other features of Volkswagen Eos White Night include automatic climate control, heated front seats, sports chassis. The car is available in TSi and TDI engine offering output of 147HP and 103HP respecitively.

The VW Eos priced at $53,990 for the 103 TDI model and AU$55,990 for the 147 TSI for Australia. Buyer have to pay $3,500 more for the White Night Edition.

2011 VW Jetta Sedan Spied in the U.S.A

Its seems that Volkswagen had started work on its next generation models. The 2011 Jetta has been spied testing in Valley California. The prototype model of jetta makes as feel that it will be bearing a new sheetmetal with a pinch of Audi 4 styling cues in the rear end.
Rumors are that the 2011 jetta will be offered with VW’s latest 2.0 TSI petrol and TDI diesels. The 2.0 TSI is though to produce power between 122HP – 170HP.

This model from VW will definitely compete with Honda Civic and Toyota Corollo and could make its debut in the detroit motor show. Still there is no official announcement from the company.

Volkswagen Tiguan SUV Premieres at Auto Guangzhou 2009

Volkswagen and its Chinese partner Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp (SAIC) revealed the 2010MY domestic market version of the Tiguan SUV at the 7th China International Automobile Show.The chinese models features a new grille that extends to the headlights and revamped new bumper.

VW has not introduced much changes in interiors, changes are limited to new three-spoke steering wheel and redesigned new intrument panel that comes with two central gauge incorporating two smaller dials.

Pricing and Availblity has not yet known.

Volkswagen Golf GTD Diesel tuned by ABT to 190HP

Volkswagen tuning specialist ABT now came with another smart package for the car lovers offering a range of power and styling treatment. The GTD’s 2.0 turbocharged diesel engine received a 20-pony and 40 Nm increase ti 190-HP and 390 Nm of torque. The car now does the 0-100 Km/h (62 mph) in just 7.1 seconds. Top speed has also been increased from 222 km/h to 230 km/h (143mph) as stated by ABT.

ABT also added sport suspension that lowers the car’s ride by around 30mm and a new exhaust system wit ha throatier sound.The german tuner also offers a full bodykit which is similiar to the one availble for GTI nd includes a front spoiler, front grille, side sills, rear spoiler and a rear apron with an integral diffuser housing the quad tailpipes.

Volkswagen Launched New Beetle Special Edition “Black Orange”

To remain hot in the market, Volkswagen has again announced a special edition of Beetle named “Black Orange” series. The special edition is availble with either black finish and contrasting white stripes on the sides or an orange finish with black stripes. The exterior package is complemented by a set of 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels.

There are no photos of the interior, but Volkswagen said that the special edition New Beetles get a three-spoke leather steering wheel, aluminum pedals and sport seats with a unique design plus floor mats and gear leather trim with contrasting orange stitching.

The vehicle’s standard equipment also includes air conditioning, an upgraded audio system, center armrest and electric windows.

The New Beetle ‘Black Orange’ models are available with several engine options with prices in Germany starting from 22,550 (around US$33,800) for the hatch with the 102HP 1.6-liter petrol engine.

VW Scirocco tuned To 370 HP by MR Car Design

German firm MR Car Design Recently showed off its latest tuned VW Scirocoo with a boosted power for 370HP. Wrapped in a matte black vinyl, the Black Rocco features a full bodykit from Rieger that consists of a front apron, side skirts and a rear apron with an integrated diffuser that houses the four tail pipes. The red pin stripes and 20-inch alloy wheels shod in 235/30 ZR20 S1 EVO high performance tires complete the exterior package.

Underneath the bonnet lurks a heavily tweaked version of the Scirocco’s 210HP 2.0-liter TFSI engine that has received a Stage 3 turbo kit, a new downpipe, reprogrammed ECU and a custom-made exhaust system for an overall output of 370-horsepower and 519Nm or 382 lb-ft of peak torque.

MR Car Designe also fitted the car with a new limited slip differential, a Stoptech high performance brake system and new coilovers from KW Automotive. The tuning firm has yet to announce pricing on its new Sciorcco-based model.

Volkswagen Announces Scirocco GT in 210HP Version for UK

Volkswagen’s UK arm announced the availability of the 2010MY Scirocco GT with the tweaked 2.0-liter TFSI that gains an extra 10-horsepower for a total output of 210HP. The company claims that this extra power reduces the sprint to 62 mph to 6.9 seconds for both the manual and DSG dual clutch gearboxes while top speed increases to 149 mph or 240km/h (147 mph for the DSG).

Furthermore, fitted with revised oil and cooling systems, the 210HP unit is also said to boast an improved fuel economy of 38.2 mpg UK (was 37.2 mpg UK) and emissions of 172 g/km of CO2 (down from 179) over the 200HP engine it replaces.

VW 270HP Golf R and 265HP Scirocco R gets Priced For UK

Volkswagen has announced the prices of VW 270HP Gold R and 256 HP Scirocco R will will hit the UK Showrooms are Feb 2010.
Prices for front-wheel drive Scirocco R that’s fitted with a 265HP 2.0-litre TSI four-cylinder engine and a six speed manual gearbox start at 26,945 on-the-road while the all-wheel drive Golf R that’s powered by a 270HP 2.0-liter turbo engine linked to a six-speed manual transmission, begins from 28,930. A six-speed DSG gearbox is available as an option on both models from 1,300.

The company says that the range-topping Scirocco accelerates from a standstill to 62 mph in 6.0 seconds, falling to 5.8 seconds when equipped with the dual-clutch DSG gearbox, while achieving a combined figure of 34.9 mpg UK (35.3 for DSG) and 189 g/km of CO2 (187 for DSG).

As for the Golf R that is available in three- and five-door body styles, it is the fastest accelerating VW ever produced, with a 0 to 62mph (100km/h) sprint time of just 5.7 seconds for the manual model and 5.5 seconds for the DSG equipped version. The Golf R is said to return 33.2 mpg UK on the combined cycle (DSG 33.6 mpg) and CO2 emissions of 199 g/km (195g DSG).

Both the Scirocco R and Golf R models have a top speed of 155 mph.

VW Golf Bluemotion Launched, Gives 61.9 mpg

Along with the world debut of the most powerful series-production Golf ever, the 270HP AWD Golf R, Volkswagen also celebrated the premiere of the most fuel efficient Golf of all time, the second-generation Golf BlueMotion that is now available to buy in Germany from 21,650. The new BlueMotion model is motivated by a 1.6-liter TDI common-rail diesel engine that produces 105HP with power being transmitted to the front wheels via a long-ratio five-speed manual gearbox.

In addition to the new TDI engine, the Golf BlueMotion also benefits from aerodynamic changes, a braking energy recovery function, a start-stop system and lightweight alloy wheels shod in low rolling resistance tires.

All of these upgrades contribute to an impressive average fuel economy of 3.8 lt / 100km (61.9 mpg US or 74.3mpg UK) and CO2 emissions of just 99 g/km, making the second-generation BlueMotion the most economical Golf of all time.
