Renault has launched another hatchback in India, the Renault Pulse. The new Pulse looks much similar to Nissan Micra.

The new Pulse can be touted as altered version of Micra as both share the same V-platform chassis, same basic suspension and same gearbox. However, Renault Pulse will be powered by K9K 1.5-litre diesel engine which pumps out power of 63BHP and 16.3kgm torque.

According to Renault, the Pulse gets ARAI-certified mileage figure of 23.08kpl. The car will be offered with 2+2year or 80,000 km warranty along with 24hour roadside assistance. The Base version of Renault Pulse is priced at Rs.5.77 lakh, while the top end get’s the price tag of Rs.6.25 lakh. The top end version gets many features like alloy wheels, automatic climate control, fog lamps, rear defogger with timer, roof spoiler, dual airbag and smart access key. The top end also get a push button start.

Renault revealed its new mid-size crossover which it is going to launch in India soon, the Duster. The Renault Duster is made on the same platform as that of the Mahindra Logan (Verito). The Duster will be available in only 2WD version.

The Duster will be offered with two engine option- 1.6-litre petrol engine and 1.5-litre Diesel engine. It will come in five variants with price range starting from Rs.7 lakh. The Diesel version will come with two options – entry level 85BHP version and top of the end 110BHP version.

The Indian version of Duster will be different from that of the international version and it will be changed according to Indian conditions. The Renault Duster will not enjoy excise cut since it is longer than four meter, although it will be priced aggressively and fall in the price bracket of Rs.7-11 lakh. Final pricing and specification will be revealed only at the time of market launch during second half of this year.
