Nissan Micra and Sunny prices increased

Nissan has increased the price of its Micra and Sunny models in India. The price has been hiked ranging from 0.56 to 2.09 percent depending on variant variants. The new revised price will come in effect from January 20, 2012.

The Nissan Micra Petrol will now cost Rs. 3,000 more. The base version of Micra is priced at Rs. 4.10 lakh presently, while the Nissan Diesel variant get a price hike of Rs. 12,000 which currently starts from Rs. 5.72 lakh.

Similarly Nissan Sunny will now cost Rs. 5,000 more. Currently it is priced at Rs. 5.78 lakh for the base variant. However Nissan has decided to keep the price of Nissan Sunny Diesel untouched.

Nissan Sunny unveiled for India

Nissan has taken off the covers from its much awaited mid-size sedan, the “Nissan Sunny” in India. The Sunny is based on V-platform which is shared by the Micra.
Nissan is planning to launch the car 1.5-liter petrol engine, and a diesel power plant will also follow the launch soon. Although the interior of the Sunny looks much closer to Nissan Micra, the car’s Leg room and Back storage is ample.

Nissan Sunny top end variant is touted to get loaded with many features including climate control, music system, steering mounted controls, electric mirrors, rear ac ducts, alloy wheels, etc.

The car is expected to hit the shelves next month and is expected to be launched in the price range of 7.5-9 lac.

Nissan Sunny Caught Testing

Nissan upcoming V-platform based sedan Sunny was caught testing in chennai. There were two test car and both of them were camouflaged, So this is confirmed that we will be getting atleast two variant for India.
The Nissan sunny was supposed to be global car and is expected to be exported from Nissan’s Factory at Chennai. The Nissan Sunny is expected to be priced around Rs 7.5 Lac where it will give competition to Tata Manza and Mahindra Verito. Under the hood we can expecet a 1.6-litre petrol engine which will give power output of 109 bhp and a torque figure of 145 Nm, while we can also expect 1.5-litre DCI motor as diesel option, the same engine powers up the Nisaan Micra and Mahindra Verito.
Nissan may also introduce some luxury features like Keyless Entry, One touch down function for front and rear power windows, cruise control, speed sensing auto door lock and much more.
