Lorinser Tunes Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe

The most famous German tuner who is known for tuning Mercedes-Benz, Lorinser, has not come up with its new tuning project. This time he tunes the Mercedes-Benz E class and added a break-like grille to it which seems to be taken from the Acura.

The tuner has also introduced many changes which includes revamped front bumper with integrated LED light , new side skirts, trunk lid spoiler,four pipe exhaust system. and a rear bumper with a diffuser.Lorinser has also lowered the suspension and introduced new set of 20-inch alloys in various designs.

Inside, Lorinser has introduced new aluminium pedals, new instrument cluster, new set of floor mat with leather lining and illuminated door stills.

The German tuner has also said that soon he will also release the performance package for the Benz E-class.

Mercedes Introduces Benz SL Night Edition And SLK Grand Edition

Mercedes has revealed two new special edition model of its roadster models, the SL Night Edition and SLK Grand Edition. This new models are enhanced with numerous interior and exterior upgrades.

The SL Night Edition upgradation includes exclusive magno night black paint, two tone five spoke 19-inch alloy, high gloss finish, silver painted front brake callipers and new darkened headlamps/taillights. While in interior only minor changes has been made which includes black nappa leather and chrome trim, sport steering wheel, black shift lever and roof lining and new arrow shaped seats.

The SLK Grand Edition will now come with designo graphite paint finish, 1-inch alloy wheels, darkened headlamps and silver colored fins. While in Interior you will find, news arrow shaped seats in basalt grey napy leather and door lining in same colour.

The upgradation will cost you a additional amount between 3700 euro to 5200 euro for SL Night Edition and between 2300 euro to 3500 euro for SLK Grand Edition.

Vath Tunes Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG, Boosted to 745HP

German tuner Vath has come up with his another tuning project. This time he has his hands on the Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG increasing its power and giving it more aggressive look. Vath boosted its power from the standard Benz’s 612-HP twin-turbo V12 to 745HP and a whopping 1,150 Nm of torque.

According to vath with the new engine kit, the CL65 AMG can do 0-100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds and can reach a top speed of 340 km/h or 211 mph. The Kit is also priced aaggressively as the car, it cost about 36,890 or about US$53,100, including installation.

Other Performance mods include a new sports braking system with 6 piston fixed callipers and 405mm disc , 20-inch alloy wheels and airmatic suspension. Some Changes are also made to exterior which include subtle body kit with a carbon fiber front and rear diffuser fins, boot lid and roof spoiler which cost together 3,188 or about US$4,600.

Mercedes-Benz Special Edition C-Class Executive SE Comes to UK

Mercedes-Benz has introduced a similar version of its smaller C-Class sedan with an exterior styling pack and interior upgrades. Based on the C 180 KOMPRESSOR BlueEFFICIENCY with the 156 HP engine, the C-Class Executive SE is distinguished on the outside by the Sport Grille with the integrated Mercedes-Benz star, specific 16-inch alloy wheels and chrome trim finishes for the boot lid and exhaust.

On the inside, the Executive SE gets Merc’s COMMAND multimedia system that includes hard disk drive navigation, Linguatronic voice control, a 6 GB music register and a PCMCIA slot, all of which can be controlled through the upgraded multi-function steering wheel, fitted as standard

It goes on sale from November with UK prices set at 23,190.64 for the sedan and 24,390.11 for the Estate. According to the German car maker, the Executive SE models cost just 574.47 (ex VAT) more than the SE, yet offer over 2,200 worth of extras.

Inden Design Tunes-up Mercedes-Benz SL500

The German firm’s exterior package comprises of a full SL65 AMG bodykit with a front bumper and spoiler, rear bumper with a carbon fiber diffuser, side skirts, rear spoiler as well as rear lights.

Mercedes-Benz Releases New 487HP Performance Kit

The new Performance Package Plus is an optional extra that is available for order on both the sedan and estate versions of the C63 AMG. It includes an engine kit that boost’s the 6.3-liter V8’s output to 487 horsepower, a high – performance braking system with compound brake discs and cosmetic accessories.

The power increase from 457HP to 487HP has been achieved through a series of upgrades that include a reprogrammed ECU and the adoption of forged pistons from the new SLS AMG supercar together with new connecting rods and a lightweight crankshaft that translate into a weight saving of three kilograms or 6.6 lbs.

The package also includes a new AMG high-performance braking system with compound brake discs on the front axle and red painted brake callipers all round showing the AMG logo, along with carbon fibre spoiler lip on the boot lid (sedan only) and a new performance steering wheel in nappa leather with a grip area trimmed in Alcantara.

The new AMG Performance Package Plus is available for order now with prices set in Germany at ,7080.50 and 6,426 for the sedan and estate models respectively.

2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Convertible

Not that the styling of the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Convertible hasn’t been previewed in the virtually undisguised prototypes that have been caught by numerous spy photographers testing in and around the Nurburgring as well as other locations in Europe, but these grainy black and white pictures that were filed with the EU trademark office are the official deal.

Set to arrive in Mercedes-Benz showrooms sometime during the first half of 2010, the topless version of the new E-Class Coupe keeps the four-seat layout of its tintop twin and like the Audi A5 Cabrio, it doesn’t use a retractable metal roof opting instead for a lighter and more compact-sized canvas top.

Don’t expect to see any surprises under the hood as the 2010 E-Class Convertible will be offered with the same four-, six- and eight-cylinder engine options (depending on the market) as the latest coupe model including a 204HP 2.2-liter diesel and a 5.5-liter V8 petrol with 388HP.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Flies to Museum Terrace

Mercedes-Benz had the folks that transferred the all-new 2010 SLS AMG coupe to the roof terrace of its Museum in Stuttgart, Germany, open the supercar’s gullwing doors during the air-lift. Luckily, the silver colored SLS AMG did not need to use its metal wings as the operator of the 120-ton hydraulic crane successfully placed the car 42 meters up on the museum’s roof terrace.

The 571-horsepower SLS AMG coupe, which had its world premiere just recently at the Frankfurt International Motor Show, will be on display at the museum between the 6th and 16th of October 2009.

Normally, the 465 square meter outdoor area of the Mercedes-Benz Museum is not open to the public, so it’s definitely worth a visit if you happen to be in the ‘neighborhood’.

“This will be a very emotional experience for our visitors,” commented Michael Bock, Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Museum GmbH. “This super sports car stands for excitement, passion and high-tech. As museum for the past present and future of the automobile we provide an ideal setting for the exclusive presentation of the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.”

Carlsson Tunes Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, gets 585HP V8 Heart

Carlsson is back again with a bang, yeah this time with the most powerful version of new Mecedes E-Class , the E-63 AMG. The treatment lifted the power from 525HP to 584 HP and peak torque from 630Nm to 695Nm. The higher performance figures for the 6.3-liter V8 were achieved through a reprogrammed ECU, a sport exhaust system and various other upgrades.

After the treatment the mercedes accelerated from zeio to 100km/h (62 mph) in just 4.5 seconds,or three tenths of a second faster than the factory model.

Carlsson also added a few aero parts into the mix like the modified front apron, new side skirts and a rear apron that houses a carbon-fiber diffuser. The company claims that the bodykit helps increase downforce at high speeds. The kit is complemented by a set of 20-inch bi-color 1/5 REVO alloy wheels.

Depending on how much you’re willing to spend on the CK63 RS, Carlsson can also dress the entire cabin with special leathers while other highlights include the aluminium trim options and the illuminated floor mats.

Mercedes-Benz E500 Coupe Tuned by Carlsson, Gets 435 HP

RU Not satisfied with the factory Mercedes-Benz E500 Coupe but don’t want to go overboard either? Well, then you may want to check out Carlsson’s latest package for the most-powerful version of the new E-Class yet, which carries the name the CK50. The German tuning firm starts out by modifying the 5.5-liter V8 engine that gets a power upgrade from 388 HP and 530Nm to 435 HP and 600Nm of peak torque.

A sport exhaust system with two oval end pipes and a special air filter complete the under-the-hood mods.

To improve the CK50’s handling, the tuner adds a new coilover suspension system with adjustable damping, and sport springs that lower the coupe’s ride height by around 30mm.

The CK50 also rides on 20-inch alloy wheels in a two tone finish that are shod in 230/30 R20 Dunlop tires.

Carlsson has preferred to keep styling changes limited as the only aero parts available are a front apron that’s optionally available in real carbon fiber and a discreet boot lid spoiler.

For the interior, Carlsson offers buyers several options including a combination of leather and suede for the gearstick knob and the steering wheel, aluminium sport pedals and specific floor mats.

Prices as well as ‘real-life’ photos of the CK50 are to be released within the next few weeks.
