Lexus Announces Price Rise for 2010 Models

Lexus confirms the increase in the price for most of its luxurious cars. Lexus has increased the price ranging from $300 for IS 250 and IS 350 to $900 for the GS 450h and SC 430. The company also annouces the pricing of its latest update limo, The 2010 LS 600h L will start from $109,675 with an extra charge of $875 for delivery, processing and handling.

The new LS 600h L hybrid sedan comes with a revamped front grille, bumper and tail lights. It has also got new 19-inch alloy wheels , exterior mirrors with intergrated turn signals and exhaust diffusers.

Also new are the front active headrests, the standard Intuitive Park Assist with Advance Parking Guidance and Intelligent High-Beam, a driver’s seat with auto slide-away, an LCD instrument cluster, rear power sunshade and an upgraded navigation system.

Finally, the repackaging of the battery pack has resulted in the increase of the LS 600h L’s trunk capacity by nearly two cubic feet.

2010 Lexus GX460 : HD Gallery

Fitted with a new grille, some minor stlying enhancement inside and out, and with a heart of V8 engine, the all new 2010 GX460 is in the essence of the US-spec version of Toyota’s 2010 Land Cruiser which was already launched in Europe and other markets. Lexus positions the new GX between the brand’s LX 570 premium luxury utility vehicle and unibody-based RX models.

The new GX460 is fitted with 4.6-liter V8 engine which gives a power of 301HP and a torque of 329 lb-ft . The new Gx460 offers six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift.It comes equipped with standard full-time four-wheel drive using an electronically controlled transfer case and a TORSEN torque-sensing center differential that distributes power 40:60 under most driving conditions and changes the ratio as needed based on steering input and wheel slip.

The new Lexus GX also offers a low gear range for off-road driving while the Japanese automaker claims that it retains the same 6,500-lb. towing capacity as the 263HP GX470 offered,

According to the automaker, the new GX460 returns an EPA-estimated 15 mpg city, 20 mpg highway and 17 mpg combined (2009 GX 470: 15 mpg).

For the first time, the GX will be offered in two trim levels, with the base carrying an MSRP of $51,970 and the higher-spec Premium, $56,765. To that you’ll have to add delivery, processing and handling fee of $875.

The new GX will make its first public outing in North America at the Los Angeles Auto Show in December with sales starting towards the end of the month.

2010 Lexus GX460 US Model Offical Pics Out

The all new 2010 Lexus GX460 US Spec Version official Pictures has arrived on net.The luxury 4×4 sedan is set to premiere at next week’s “Auto Guangzhou 2009″ autoshow in china. The new GX470 look little bit similiar to the 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser sold in Europe and other markets.

The new Gx460 comes with Lexus grille outside, new headlights and tail lamps, revamped bumpers and chrome finish on the side of windows and lower door modlings. The interior has been upgraded with a more luxurious trim and new unique instrument panel and center console design has been added.

The Lexus has not officially declared any information of the new GX460, but as expert thinks, the 2010 GX will be most likely powered by Toyota’s new 4.6-loter V8 engine that offers 310HP and a torque of 327 lb-ft. The current GX470 comes with a 4.7 liter V8 with 236 HP and 323 lb-ft of torque.

2012 Lexus LFA Specs Out: HD Gallery

The production version of the original LF-A concept, which has been renamed to LFA, is Lexus’ first-ever supercar and it will go on sale at the end of 2010. The Ferrari-fighting supercar is powered by a front-mounted, purpose built 4.8-liter V10 engine that cranks out 553HP (560PS) at 8,700 rpm and 480Nm or 354 lb-ft of torque at 6,800 rpm, with 90% of its peak torque available between 3,700rpm and 9,000rpm.

The all-new compact-sized V10 engine that is said to be smaller than a conventional V8, sends power to the rear wheels through a six-speed automated sequential gearbox that features four selectable driving modes and a seven-stage shift-speed selector that results in upshift speeds down to 0.2 seconds.

The Japanese maker claims a 0 to 100km/h (62mph) sprint time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 325 km/h or 202 mph for the LFA.

Just like many other top-notch supercars such as the Ferrari Enzo, the chassis and body of the LFA are made largely of carbon-fiber composite. In accordance to Lexus, the 4,505mm long car weighs 1,480kg or 3,263 pounds with a front-to-rear weight distribution of 48:52. For the record, the Enzo weighed in at 1,365kg or 3,009 lbs.

The LFA’s suspension comprises of double wishbones at the front and a multilink arrangement at the back. Stopping power comes courtesy of Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers up front and four-piston calipers at the rear.

Lexus has already began accepting orders for the LFA with first deliveries expected to take place towards the end of 2010. Production of the base model will be strictly limited to 500 units with preliminary pricing set at $375,000 (around 250,000).

In the beginning of 2012, Lexus will also launch two special versions of the LFA, including one with unique color(s) and a more track-focused model.

Lexus LF-A Supercar Production Photos Goes Live

Just a few hours before its official debut at the Tokyo Motor Show, and the first photographs as well as a video of the production version of the Lexus LF-A supercar have made their way onto the internet. From what we’ve been informed by our inside people, the LF-A features a new, front-mid mounted V10 engine that churns our approximately 550HP with power being sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed automated manual gearbox with paddle shifters for a 0 to 100km/h sprint time of about 3.7 seconds. Lexus 2010 GS and GS450h Hybrid Facelift US Models Price Announced

The Lexus GS 450h hybrid has received a minor cosmetic facelift as well some added features for 2010 while it’s gasoline-only siblings, the GS 350 and GS460 that are powered by a 303HP 3.5-liter V6 and a 342HP 4.6-liter V8 respectively, get new colors and technology enhancements for the new model year. Despite the upgrades, Lexus has not increased prices over the 2009MY GS models.

The 2010 GS 450h benefits from a few exterior enhancements that were made to distinguish it from the gas-only models, including a revised front grille, clear tail lamp covers and unique 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear-wheel drive hybrid model combines a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine with a compact electric motor that collectively produce an output of 340 horsepower.

For 2010, the GS 350 and GS 460 receive two new exterior colors, Deep Sea Mica and Satin Cashmere Metallic, while Black Sapphire Pearl, Verdigris Mica, and Golden Almond Metallic are discontinued. Furthermore, the Parchment-colored interior replaces Cashmere.

The standard Lexus Premium Sound System on both the gas-only and hybrid GS models has been enhanced for 2010 with the addition of iPod/USB connectivity, streaming audio via Bluetooth and an integrated satellite radio receiver. Moreover, the optional Lexus Navigation system has been updated to a new hard disk drive based system with Voice Command casual-language voice recognition and Bluetooth phonebook download capability.

Prices for the 2010 GS range from $45,875 for the GS 350 to $57,425 for the GS 450h (both including a delivery, processing and handling fee of $875). Lexus said that the 2010 GS sedans will arrive at U.S. dealerships later in October.

2010 Lexus LS460 Facelift Specs Revealed: HD Gallery

Lexus has now revealed the U.S.-spec version of its revised LS460 flagship sedan that has been freshened up for the 2010 model year with subtle styling updates, added features and a new optional performance-tuned Sport Package. Once again, the LS460 is offered with standard and a long-wheelbase body styles, both of which are available in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive layouts.

On the outside, the 2010 LS460 gains a reworked front grille, revised headlamps and tail lights, newly styled front and rear bumpers as well as a new license plate surround. The new exhaust diffusers and side mirrors that feature integrated turn signals along with the standard 18-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels complete the exterior updates.

For 2010, the LS460 benefits from the new Safety Connect and Lexus Enform telematics systems as well as the available Advanced Pre-Collision System (APCS) that made its debuted on the 2009 Pebble Beach Edition LS 600h L special. The APCS uses two small cameras mounted at the front of the car that work in conjunction with millimeter-wave radar to detect vehicles and pedestrians in the vehicle’s path and to warn the driver before taking evasive braking actions.

Also new for the 2010 model year is the introduction of a Sport Package for the rear-wheel drive LS460 that combines an exterior aero kit with special air suspension tuning and exclusive interior features.

The aero kit, which is also available as a stand-alone Appearance Package, includes a unique front grille, side rocker panels and spoilers for the front and rear bumpers along with larger 19-inch five-spoke forged alloy wheels.

Inside the, the Sport Package adds perforated Black/Saddle leather interior with sport front seats, a unique leather-trimmed steering wheel and paddle shifters for the eight-speed automatic transmission.

But that’s not all. The Sport Package also includes beefier Brembo brakes and a sport-tuned air suspension with specific stabilizer bars and shock absorbers that promise to further improve handling.

There are no changes under the hood as the 2010 LS460 continues to be powered by a 4.6-liter V8 linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The maker says that the V8 puts out 380HP and 367 lb.-ft. of peak torque in rear-wheel-drive configuration and 357HP and 344 lb.-ft. of torque with all-wheel drive.

In terms of performance, the RWD LS 460 can accelerate from zero-to-60 mph (96 km/h) in about 5.4 seconds while it’s AWD sibling, in 5.9 seconds. According to Lexus, the RWD model achieves an EPA-estimated 16 mpg city and 24 mpg highway rating and the AWD, 16mpg city and 23mpg highway.

Prices are due to be announced shortly.

Lexus LF-A to Premier at 2009 Tokyo Motor Show

Lexus just announced that along with the Japanese market debut of the LF-Ch compact-premium hybrid concept, the firm’s Tokyo Motor Show stand will also play host to the world premiere of a “revolutionary two-seater supercar”, in other words the LF-A. The bad news is that Lexus did not release any photos or information on the long-anticipated V10-powered supercar that is said to compete price- and performance-wise with no less than the Ferrari 458 Italia and other exotic models.

Furthermore, it has yet to be confirmed if the maker will reveal the final production version of the LF-A or if Lexus will follow the example of Toyota and its FT-86 RWD compact sports coupe and Honda with the CR-Z hybrid coupe, introducing a thinly disguised concept model.

Wald International Tunes the Lexus RX350

Feast your eyes on one of Wald International’s latest Black Bison styling packages that give the Lexus RX350 and its hybrid counterpart, the RX450h an aggressive new look. The cosmetic makeover includes a new front bumper with large air-inlets, matching side skirts, a new rear bumper that houses a diffuser, different treatment for the grille and a pair of twin tail pipes.

A roof spoiler and Wald International’s multispoke alloy wheels shod in chunkier rubber help complete the new look for the Japanese automaker’s luxury SUV. Customers can also upgrade the car with interior enhancements such as an alloy pedal set and specific floor mats.

Facelifted 2010 Lexus ES350 Officially Revealed

Apparently it’s that time of the year for Lexus. Only days after the unveiling of the gently facelifted LS and GS model series in Frankfurt, the Japanese luxury firm rolled out the North American market 2010 ES350 sedan. For the new model year, the ES350, which is nothing more than a tarted-up Toyota Camry, receives some minor cosmetic tweaks in the form of a more prominent grille with additional chrome surroundings, reworked headlamps and tail lights, a new front bumper with revised lower intake and integrated fog lamps and chrome body side moldings.

The newly designed 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels with a split five-spoke design and four new exterior colors (Truffle Mica, Peridot Mica, Satin Cashmere Metallic and Cerulean Blue Metallic) complete the exterior updates.

Inside, the ES350 facelift gets new steering wheel controls, updated trim choices and driver’s seat memory while the revised center console now offers more storage volume than before. Other changes include the rear coat hooks and an Eco Drive indicator that are now standard across the range while all models come equipped with a total of 10 standard airbags thanks to the addition of new rear seat-mounted side airbags.

Finally, Lexus updated the audio packages and added a new hard disc drive (HDD) navigation system to the ES350’s optional equipment list.

There are no changes under the hood as the ES 350 continues to be offered with an aluminum 3.5-liter V6 producing 272 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 254 lb.-ft. peak torque at 4,700 rpm. Power is transfered to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission

The revised 2010 ES 350 sedan will arrive at U.S. dealerships later this month priced from $35,675 (including delivery, processing and handling fee) which represents an increase of $330 or 0.9 percent over the 2009MY.
