New Kia Magentis Sedan to Debut at New York Show

The all new next generation Kia Magnetis, which is commonly known as Optima in several market worldwide, will make its world premiere at the New York International Auto Show, which is going to be help in April 2010.

The teaser shots of the 2011 Magentis reveals that the sedan will come with a coupe-like roofline and will accompany much sportier design as compared to the today’s model.

According to the company, the new Magentis will be longer, lower and wider than the previous model as it features a new wheelbase and hence will offer more space for both people and luggage.

The 2011 Magentis is expected to reach the North America markets by autumn 2010, while its sale in Europe may begin in spring 2011.

2011 Kia Sportage Official Photos Out

The next generation crossover 2011 Kia Sportage is going to be officially revealed at the 2010 Geneva Show in March 2010. But just few days before its launching, Kia has released some photos of this handsome looking crossover.

The new Sportage seems to be inspired from the Cadenza sedam amd Sorento SUV along with its Kia family look in the soul. The new crossover is built on the same platform as that of the Hyundai Tucson and it will be longer than the older sportage which may lead to increase in the cabin space.

We are hoping that the 2011 sportage might be powered by the same 2.0-liter and 2.4-liter four cylinders mated to six-speed transmission as that of the tucson in North America, while for the european market it may get the same 1.7-liter and 2.0-liter diesels, and 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter gasolines as that of the iX35.

2011 Kia Sportage Compact SUV Scooped

Kia has launched its next generation Compact SUV, the 2011 Kia Sportage. The SUV now boasts a series of designs that were made for the European Union’s patent office.

The 2011 Sportage will comes with new styling features which include new chrome trim, new tail lamp arrangement, alloy wheels and all new revamped front bumper. The 2011 Sportage is set to reach the korean auto dealers towards the early of 2011.

The Kia Sportage will be offered with the same 2.0-liter and 2.4-liter four cylinder engine with six-speed manual transmission, the same which is offered in Hyundai Tucson.

2010 Kia Venga First Official Video Out

The 2010 Kia Venga First Official video is out now. The car has been revealed in the 2009 Frankfurth Motor Show where it grabbed alot of attention of the viewer, but those who were not able to view the car should not be sad as the company has launched its official video.

The video emphasizes some important features of the car : like more interior space with panoramic glass roof, start-stop system, Euro 5 emission standard and a 7-year warranty.

The Venga is set to go on sale around Jan 2010 and will be availble with two option of gasoline of diesel engines. The new Kia offers 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter gasoline and diesel engines pumping output of 75 and 128 ps respectively. A 60/40 split rear seat will be offered as standard while a tilt-&-slide, all-glass panoramic sunroof will come as optional.

Venga will be available in three variant LX, EX and TX. The top variant TX comes with 6-inch alloy wheel, front fog lamps, electric folding door mirrors and electric rear window. In interior , it further adds leather steering wheel, wheel mounted audio controls, cruise control, speed limited leather/cloth interior upholstery and drivers seat armrest.

Kia Soul Ignition Limited Edition Arrives in US Showrooms

The next limited edition model from Kia will reach the US showroom’s soon. The new limited edition model is named “Ignition” after the previous model “Denim”. It is based on Soul+ model and it features unique ignition orange exterior finish with contrasting black rally stripes, a rear spoiler, an alloy fuel door and black 18-inch alloy wheels.

Like the previously launched limited edition model “Denim”, Kia has introduced many new features including a higher-grade audio system with iPod connection, center speaker, subwoofer, external amplifier, and speaker lights that pulse to the beat of the music. Kia has also added new floor mats, sun roof, fender vents with side marker repeaters and fog lights.

The new Kia Soul Ignition will be availble across the US showroom with five-speed manual gearbox at a price of $17,500.

Kia has introduced its all new sedan Kia Cadenaza in korea today where it will go on sale in the name of K7. The Kia Cadenaza is based on an all-new-front-drive platform. The 195.5 inches long Cadenza will replace the old Oprirus also known as Amanti in many markets. The Cadenza is the production version of the KND-5 concept model shown in Seoul earlier this year.

Kia’s new sedan is well equiped with many features along with contemporary and clean design. Some of the exiciting features include mood lighting strip, keyless entry, engine start button, reversing sensors, reverse safety camera with interior mirror display and a powered driver seat adjustment system.

The new Cadenza will be offered in three gasoline engines ranging from 165HP to 295HP for the 3.5 liter V6, with all models featuring front-wheel-drive system and six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2011 Cadenza will make its overseas world premiere at next month’s Riyadh Motor Show in Saudi Arabia on 12 December, followed immediately by an appearance at the Dubai Motor Show on 15 December.

The Cadenza is scheduled to go on sale in most international markets, including North America and Europe, in January 2010. The regions of Central and South America, the Caribbean, Asia (excluding China), the Pacific, Middle East and Africa will get the new Kia in March 2010, while sales in China will begin in June 2010.

Kia Introduces New Limited Edition Soul Tempest to UK

Kia’s UK division launches yet another limited edition version of the Soul, the ‘Tempest’, which replaces the outgoing ‘Samba’ model. Part of Kia’s Original Collection models, the Tempest comes in a Titanium Silver finish with black high-gloss bumper inserts and door mirrors, and is fitted with specific black 18-inch alloy wheels. As for the interior, the Tempest gets ‘Soul-Shine’ black seat trim with metallic centre fascia and chrome accents on the dashboard and instrument clusters.

Other key features of the limited edition model include a reversing camera system with electrochromic rearview mirror and an upgraded audio system featuring a dash-top centre speaker, rear sub-woofer and external amplifier.

The Soul Tempest is available with 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines with prices starting from 12,845.

2011 Kia Cadenza Sedan: Amanti / Opirus Replacement Officially Revealed

The mid-size sedan that will replace the Opirus / Amanti (depending on the market) will make its overseas premiere at the Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Dubai international motor shows, towards the end of the year.

Soon-Nam Lee, Director of the Overseas Marketing Group, Kia Motors, said, “New Cadenza will showcase the continuing evolution in Kia’s striking design language through the harmonious blend of light and lines. It will also present a new concept in luxury sedans in terms of performance and technology.”

The latest work of Kia’s chief designer Peter Schreyer and his team remains close to the original concept and incorporates all the fancy-pansy styling cues we see on the automaker’s newest models such as the Sorento, Forte / Coupe and Venga.

Still, to be completely frank, the Cadenza is a disappointment when compared to the KND-5 concept model as the vehicle’s proportions have been altered -look at the front overhang for example- while many of the styling details have been watered down.

Sure it looks a million times better than the Amanti, but a game changer (in terms of styling) it is not. Or at least that’s what we think.

There are no photos of the Cadenza’s cabin but Kia says that highlights include the “futuristic ‘floating’ dashboard” and an “interior mood lighting strip that runs along the dashboard to the door trim” – whatever that means.

According to Kia, available new technologies will include a heated steering wheel (for winter driving in cold markets), powered extendable seat cushions (for extra thigh support), automatic defogging of the windshield and ventilated front seats (for cool comfort in hot markets).

The new Cadenza is expected to go on sale in South Korea before the end of the year and the rest of the world during the first half of 2010. Kia’s new mid-size sedan will most probably be offered with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with direct-injection churning out about 200 HP and the Kia/Hyundai Lambda V6 petrol. A diesel option should also be in the mix for certain markets.

Kia Introduces Sorento SUV to US Market,Goes on Sales in 2011

Following its European debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Kia has now released details on the U.S. market 2011 Sorento that will be the first vehicle to be built at the firm’s new plant in West Point, Georgia. The second generation Sorento that ditches the previous model’s ladder-frame chassis for a unibody design has grown in size measuring 184.4 inches in length and 74.2 inches in width and can fit up to seven passengers in three rows of seats.

According to Kia, aside from the increased head and legroom, the 2011 Sorento also boasts nearly five cubic feet more in cargo capacity (9.1 cu.ft. with all seats up; 37.0 cu.ft. with the third row down; 72.5 cu.ft. with all rows down).

The U.S.-spec model will be offered with two gasoline engines that can be mated to either front- or all-wheel-drive configurations.

The line-up includes an entry-level 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine outputting 172 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 166 lb-ft of torque at 3,750 rpm that can coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox or optionally, an electronically-controlled six-speed automatic transmission.

The FWD Sorento 2.4 returns 21mpg city and 28mpg highway with the manual gearbox and 21mpg / 29mpg with the automatic while the 4WD model with the auto box, 20mpg / 28mpg respectively.

The range-topping Sorento comes with a larger 3.5-liter V6 unit producing 273 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 247 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm. Offered exclusively with a six-speed auto, the Sorento 3.5 returns an estimated fuel economy of 20mpg city and 28mpg highway for the FWD model and 19mpg / 27mpg for the 4WD version.

The vehicle’s standard equipment in the States will include an AM/FM/CD/MP3/Sat audio system with SIRIUS Satellite Radio capabilities with three months complimentary service, auxiliary and USB audio input jacks for connecting personal MP3 players, and Bluetooth connectivity with steering wheel-mounted voice activation controls.

Available options include push button-start ignition; voice-activated navigation; rear sonar back-up cameras; air ionization purification technology and a large panoramic sunroof.

Kia Shows Its Venga Mini MPV : HD Gallery

Kia has issued an array of new photos of the Venga, the firm’s new mini MPV competitor in the B-segment that will rival the likes of the Opel Meriva and Citroen C3 Picasso when it goes on sale across Europe later this year. The Venga, which was designed and engineered and will be manufactured in Europe, is 4,068 mm long and 1,600 mm tall with a stretchy 2,615 mm wheelbase that’s longer than let’s say, that of the VW Golf / Jetta models (2,578 mm), thus promising to offer a spacious interior for its size.

The Korean automaker’s proposal in the mini MPV segment comes equipped with a sliding rear bench that can also fold flat increasing the car’s stuffing abilities along with a clever boot floor that provides a hidden storage area. Some versions will also feature a tilt-&-slide all-glass panoramic roof.

European buyers can pick from two 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre gasoline and diesel engines, with outputs ranging from 75 to 115 horsepower. Interestingly, all engines in the line-up will be fitted with Kia’s ISG (Idle Stop & Go) start-stop technology as standard.

The new Venga will make its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
