Honda India has launched its new stunning Honda City with Advanced features and styling. People are anticipating this launch since months seeing the on-going price cut on Honda City. Although the newly launched Honda City doesn’t possess the much awaited diesel engine, but had got enough add-on to give a reason to customer to smile.

The new Honda city will come with new front chrome grille, restyled front and rear bumpers, all new tail light design and new attractive 10-spoke alloy wheel . The car now looks much sporty than it’s ever been. Adding to the interior, it will now sport plush beige interior with high quality seat fabric and improved central control panel with chrome fitting and minor tweak to music system. The Blue Meter graphic console adds to the premiumness of the car.

Honda has also tweaked the suspension and enhanced the ground clearance to 165mm, 5mm more than the predecessors which for sure will provide extra comfort on bumpy road. The new Honda city will be offered in 5 variants – Corporate, E, S, V MT/AT and V (Sunroof) MT/AT. The newly introduced V(Sunroof) variant will come with sunroof, Honda city is the first car to offer this feature in its segment. Further the V variant will come equipped with Cruise control system and turn indicators on OVRM, adding to the luxurious feel of the car.
The new introduced Corporate Edition will come with all black interior and for sure is targeted to customers who are looking for affordable premium sedan. Two new colors has also been added to the present line up, Carnelian Red Pearl and Sparkling Brown Metallic.

The new Honda city will be powered by the same 1.5-liter 4 Cylinder i-VTEC engine which churns out 118ps of power and returns a fuel economy of 16.8 km/l. For safety features Honda city comes equipped with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with Brake Assist (BA), Dual SRS airbags, pre-tensioner seat belts and G-CON (G-Force Control Technology) which is available across all variants.

Including above reason, the best reason which put a smile on customer face is the pricing strategy by Honda, Honda has done only a minor upgrade to prices. The price of list of all Variants is listed below…

Honda has launched a refreshed version of its popular hatch Honda Jazz with a major price cut. The new 2011 Jazz goes Rs.1.5 lakh cheaper than the outgoing model.

The new Honda Jazz is powered by the same 1.2-liter petrol engine which churns out a power of 90bhp. The updated Jazz now comes with exterior upgrades which includes re-styled bumpers and lights, height adjustable driver seat and power retractable outside rear view mirror for the top end variant. Jazz now get USB interface as standard for all the version, while the Jazz select and Jazz X will come with more features for rear seat which can now be reclined.

The Base Jazz no starts from Rs.5.50 lakh, which is 1.5 lakh cheaper than the earlier model which was priced for Rs.7.12 lakh. The mid-end variant Jazz Select will now retail for Rs.5.75 lakh and the top-end variant Jazz X is priced at Rs.6.06 lakh. With the major price cut, it is clear that Honda is now taking competition serious.

By taking an unbelievable move, Honda India has cut down the price of its premium hatch Honda Jazz by 1.75 lakhs.  With this move, other premium hatch will surely get setback especially the Hyundai i20.

During last month the company has announced price cut of its hottest C level sedan,  Honda City upto Rs.65,000.  The price cut was as a result of increae in petrol price and tough competition from other diesel competitor in the same segment.

With this price cut, Honda jazz will become one the most adorable value for money premium hatch. Seeing the price cut, it can also been seen how much profit do the car manufactures do make on every unit sold, Honda might be making profit although after discounting the Jazz by 1.75 Lakh. This price deduction will surely trigger price deduction across premium hatch segment. Maruti should also be worried as this price correction came just before one month of their launching the new Maruti Suzuki Swift 2011, we can just wait and see how does the Maruti prices its cake.
