Audi showcased its new upcoming Q3 compact SUV at the Auto Expo. The new Q3 is expected to be launched in market by the end of this year. When launched, the car will be made available in two engine option- base 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine and 2.0-litre TDI engine. Q3 Compact SUV is meant to give competition to entry level premium SUV segment which is being ruled by BMW X1 and Fortuner. Unlike the BMW X1 which comes with only rear wheel drive option, the Audi Q3 will be made available in both rear wheel as well as AWD version. The Q3 will come to India via CKD route and will be assembled in Aurangabad facility.

Audi India has launched the Business Edition version of the Audi Q5 2.0 TDI Quattro. The new Business Edition variant is priced at Rs.35.13 lakh (Ex-showroom Mumbai).

The new Business edition comes with new 17-inch allow wheel, Xenon Plus headlamp which includes day time running LED lights, Leather interior with wooden inserts and multifunctional 4-spoke steering wheel. Audi is also offering various other features in the new variant which includes Audio Media Interface along with Concert Radio, rear parking aid, etc.

The Audi Q5 is powered by 2.0-liter TDI engine which pumps out hefty 167BHP power and a torque of 35.7kgm. The engine is mated to 7-speed S Tronic transmission, the company claims to offer combined fuel efficiency of 12.80kpl.

The new Business Edition 2.0 Quattro will join the existing Q5 SUV range which comes with the option of 3.0 TDI, 2.0TDI and 2.0 TFSI petrol engine variant. The Audi Q5 TDI Q will be shipped to India via the CKD route and will be available in showroom from September 2011.

One fellow member of Team-BHP (India Most Popular Auto Forum) has spotted Audi Q3 being driven by AMW staff. The Q3 really look amazing in flesh. With this scoop, it is almost confirmed that Audi will be launching its popular Q3 SUV in India too.
The premium segment in Indian Automobile market has started heating up since a year, Major Automobile makers like Mercedes, Volvo, BMW are bringing their premium segment cars.

In US the Audi Q3 comes with two power plant, 2.0-liter TFSI which churns outs 170HP and 2.0-liter TDI which gives a power output of 177HP. If launched in India, Audi will place it against the BMW X1, which is one of hottest selling Premium SUV in India.

We can just hope the Audi don’t go wrong with their pricing bracket, and price it wisely in the range of 25-28 lac.
